樓上大排檔 is a retro style dai pai dong restaurant as the whole place was decorated to look like you are eating on the street. But during the day, they offer value for money lunch and tea sets. Just simple fried rice and noodles along with sandwiches. Menu is in Chinese only. There is no English. During lunch and tea session, there is no 10% service charge. Boyfriend had the Fried Thai Style Rice ($38). Not oily at all and well seasoned. The portion was decent but if you come at lunch it's bigger.
I had the Soft Shell Crab Sandwich with Salad ($38). The bun was nice and soft. The crab was crispy but it was small and mostly shell. I did like the Hong Kong style fruit salad. Enough mayo to coat everything without being watery.
The food was fairly good and prices were cheap. The place was clean and not cramped.
