The food was very mediocre. Service was great at the beginning but when there were more people the staffs suddenly rushed us to finish. We arrived at 6:30, took us 10mins to order as the staff kept having to go back and check on some of the items to answer our simple questions such as whether the beef tongue was thinly or thickly sliced.Seafood arrived first and a staff helped us cook them on the grill. The seafood was cooked perfectly well but there wasn’t a lot of flavor to them — am guessing
Seafood arrived first and a staff helped us cook them on the grill. The seafood was cooked perfectly well but there wasn’t a lot of flavor to them — am guessing most were previously frozen? There wasn’t the sweet flavor that one would expect from freshly cooked seafood.
Beef arrived at around 7:30pm when we were told in advance that we needed to leave by 8pm. We ordered the set, platter and beef tongue. Again, there wasn’t a lot of flavor to the beef. Best thing we had were the sukiyaki slices and the beef ribs.
What caught us by surprise was how they asked us to pay they bill at 8pm when we were still cooking the beef. They said they would help us cook which I thought was intentionally asking us to leave.
I told the staffs that if they wanted us to leave by 8 they should at least have the food arrive early in time for us to cook and eat. 30mins was definitely not enough for our group of 6 to cook and eat all our food on time.
I’m not sure what the hype is. The bill came down to around $700 per head. Will never return.
