[#tst] [#hforafternoontea] finally got to have kong nui tea after show which I wasn't able to do a year. The set looks pretty with food nicely placed on the vinyl record player.Savouries were not very impressive (in addition i don't like olives). Sweets were outstanding, but the flavour of liquor of the griottines cherry with dark chocolate was too strong for me, also am not a fan of macaron and raspberries.
Chose this Godiva X Hotel Icon Tea Set because we were tempted by the free flow of Godiva ice cream, where you can choose either or both of the dark and white chocolate ice cream. The chocolate-dipped strawberries are and mini sandwiches are also free. Godiva's chocolates can't be bad.
The scones were also good but they only have the ones with raisin, im not a fan of raisins but it unexpectedly tasted good! I love scones with clotted cream!!
For drinks, I had Moroccan Mint Tea and he had the hot chocolate with blooming marshmallow, looking good but didnt take picture before he drinks lol.
Good ambience, I love the sofa. Sweetness overloaded. Overall, the selling point of this tea should only be the free flow of Godiva ice cream and yet normally don't think you can have too many. Quite pricy for HK$788/2 on a Sunday with 2 glasses of champagne served (but both of us don't drink lol) (HK$748/2 on weekdays w/o champagnes), so I think the CP value is relatively low. Oh also needed to pay HK$200 deposit for reservation.
