Gassan is a new Japanese dining brand launched in November 2021 with theme reflects a ‘theatrical fishing village’ with interior elements of a dockside and a traditional yakatabune houseboat. I tried out their tasting Kaiseki Ryori Menu which include a series of goodness such as Wanmono, sashimi, grilled dish etc. I enjoyed their Wanmono with snow crab and Shirako (白子) a lot, the fresh Yuzu skin gave the soup a hint of freshness. Another favourite of the menu was the Hiyama A5 Wagyu, the fat distribution was great and it was a good match with sake. We also had noodles in chicken soup. It was a clear chicken broth with rich flavour. The overall dining experience was nice and the staff was also very friendly that they explained the menu
