I have never had a Banh Mi before, but a quick search on Openrice and within Kowloon side showed this to be one of the top choices for going for a Banh Mi.After reading a few reviews I had high hopes that this was worth trying, and I was not disappointed in the slightest.It's a shame that it is in Kowloon City which makes it a little less convenient, But that definitely helps so there is not a crowd at all. The decor and space they have is amazing, very comfortable and a place you can spend a few hours in and it won't seem like it at all.
Having never had a Banh Mi, I did not know what to suggest, so I ended up picking it from the "Top 5" list they have on the board.
And given that i wanted to try more than one, I shared Pork Belly and a chicken Banh Mi. We were given a choice of spicy levels for both choices and both went for a mild spice Which upon hindsight, could have gone for a medium spiciness.
The initial bite of the the banh mi was everything vietnamese. Everything so fresh and acidic. I really loved it. The Pork Belly Banh Mi is definitely a crowd favourite and I am looking forward to going back and trying more!
