Went here for lunch on Saturday and had the worst steak I’ve ever had in my life. First, the steak came overdone - the waiter kindly took it back and returned with an undercooked steak - the kind that is a dark grey pink tone, cold temperature inside. Went here for lunch on Saturday and had the worst steak I’ve ever had in my life. First, the steak came overdone - the waiter kindly took it back and returned with an undercooked steak - the kind that is a dark grey pink tone, cold temperature inside. Still, we were starving by then due to the long wait for the food, so we ate it anyway.

We also ordered the lunch special, with an extra $128 add on for the lobster pasta. I cannot say it was the worst pasta I’ve had - but definitely not what you would expect of a proper “Italian” dining experience. The pasta was not al dente. The tomato sauce was bit too sugared. The lobster meat was decent.

The rest of the food in the lunch special was bland and poorly presented - it all looked and tasted so domestic and sad. The best part of the lunch special was the free bread, and the look of the silver cutlery.

The coffee at Cova was also subpar with no milk options (baffling in 2021, and at a location on Hong Kong island).

This place should definitely stick to cakes, or AT LEAST raise their food quality to above 茶餐廳 level.
