This is another restaurant operated by the Black Sheep Group. Honestly speaking I would say they've done an excellent job in creating cool and trendy restaurants targeting the expat group. The vibe presented is a fusion between modern western dinning and Japanese Izakaya. Menus in most of the restaurants operated by the Black Sheep group are clean and simple so very likely you won't have too much problem picking.

Started off with some new zealand king salmon sashimi. Bad idea as this is probably not something I should've ordered in this restaurant. Nothing too fancy about this.

Drunken clams. Okay, not too great, the sauce is a little underwhelming.

Prawn Gyoza. Decent but again not too outstanding.

Crispy caramel butter corn. This was quite interesting, not exactly tempura but similar. This was quite delicious.

Calamari salad. A bit too rich for me, too much parmesan. I would prefer it without that load of cheese.

Eggplan rabata. I thought this was a little too rich for me. Would be better if there were less sauce. The sweet sauce can easily overwhelm any ingredient/dish.

Chicken Karaage with plum Mayo. Okay this was quite tasty and the plum mayo was quite an interesting match for the dish. Too bad I'm not really into fried stuff nowadays but for people who enjoys fried stuff I think this is a must have.

Miso black cod. Just like any miso black cod you can have anywhere else. Nothing much I can say about this.

Hamachi collar. I liked the toppings and the spring onion, it's a good touch otherwise it's probably going to be a little too fishy.

A few facts/comments about the place. 
1) When I went I think it's quite new so it didn't allow any booking. 
2) The food was okay, but I don't think it's too good. 
3) Portions were quite small, you will have to order a bit more than you think in order to get full. 
4) So if you like the typical westernized vibe this would be a good go to place, but if you're more focused on ingredients and food quality I would have second thoughts. 

In conclusion I wasn't impressed. I would think that some of their other restaurants have done a much better job in terms of food. Especially when the menu is quite small and you have the feeling that you don't know how to order more in order to get full, I think that's not too great. But I guess commercially speaking the marketing of the restaurant is not to create a fine dinning restaurant so I would just say I'm not really their target clientele for this particular restaurant. I still appreciate the group for operating quite some good restaurants around the city, just that I'm not a big fan of this particular one.
