We came here for staycation and tried out Satay Inn for lunch. The restaurant is beautifully designed with magnificent sea view but the food quality is below expectation. .🥂Chicken and Beef Satay $188These skewers were a bit dry in texture and not hot enough.🥂Hokkien Prawn Mee $168The soup was clear and flavourful. 🥂Chicken and Beef Satay $188

🥂Hokkien Prawn Mee $168
The soup was clear and flavourful. The king prawns is bouncy and the lean pork is tender. But it’s not outstanding at its price point.
🥂Curry Beef Brisket $160
🥂Roti Canai $58/2pcs
The curry beef brisket arrived at least 30min after the Roti Canai but they suppose to come together. The curry was not bad with its unique coconut flavour and the beef brisket was tender. Unfortunately the Roti Canai was already cold after the long wait.
🥂Nasi Lemak $158
The rice has a mild coconut milk flavour but the side dishes were all so crispy - the chicken, anchovies and peanuts. They better serve as appetizers than mixing them together to the rice.
🥂Sambal Kang Kung $138
It’s not bad but the spinach leaves a long gritty taste after.
🥂Sago Gula Melaka $78
According to Chinese, it supposed to be a pudding but basically they just put sweetened condensed milk in and I have never tasted this version of pudding.
🥂Bubur Pulut Hitam $78
This looks exactly the same as other dessert. It came with a bowl of sweetened coconut milk covering the black glutinous rice. I’d expect a better presentation of that.
Actually there are not many restaurants to choose from here and this restaurant is more affordable comparing to others but I’d still expect to have a higher quality of food in this beautiful hotel.
