Cafe 103 has a new afternoon tea and it is great as usual.I was quite lucky to get a window seat.Our scones and hot chocolate came first. I had thought of waiting for the whole afternoon tea set to arrive before taking pictures but the aroma of the scones and hot chocolate was so luring and I didn't want them to become cold.Instead of the usual scones, they replaced 2 of them with the chocolate ones, which went really well with their strawberry jam.Usually I choose a caffeinated drink but since

The afternoon tea arrived and it was amazing. Despite there is only "1 layer" of food, it was so packed, we were both very full in the end.
I loved how the savories incorporated chocolate into it so well. My favorite would be the shepherds pie, being so rich with cheese with a hint of chocolate to it.
Their desserts were also very impressive. For a chocolate afternoon tea, I would have expected myself to be quite overwhelmed by the sweetness o f the chocolate desserts. However, each dessert was very well balanced by the tartness of the fillings/sauce and each was different eg. banana, berries, plum etc. My favorite would their classical chocolate sandwich which was filled with a rich tarty mango filling. Looking forward to their Christmas tea set.
