Shiki Etsu Japanese Restaurant was a Japanese restaurant located at Manhattan Place, beside MegaBox at Kowloon Bay. The restaurant was very huge in size and spacious, allow customers to sit comfortably. They offered lunch buffet, priced at $298 per person. Appetizers consisted of fried chicken, cold tofu and salad. Fried chicken was crispy and chewy, and cold tofu and salad were appetizing in taste.
Assorted sashimi consisted of 2 types of fish and 1 prawn sashimi. Fish sashimi was thick in slices and chewy and prawn was sweet and juicy.
Seafood and pumpkin soup with queen crab meat - Soup was creamy and thick in texture, sweet in taste, having strong pumpkin taste. Crab meat was sweet and juicy too.
Japanese braised dish was fishcake and tofu soup. Soup was sweet and clear, and those fishcake and tofu were juicy and chewy.
Fried rice with wagyu - Rice was fried till fragrant and chewy and wagyu beef was tender.
Grilled pineapple and corn were juicy and okra was soft.
Grilled prawn with garlic was flavourful and chewy, with strong garlic taste.
Chicken cartilage was fried till very chewy and crispy.
Halibut saikyo yaki was grilled till very soft and smooth, almost melting in my mouth, with mayo sauce provided. Grilled meat such as chicken, beef and pork were grilled till very juicy and chewy, tender as well. They were flavourful and sweet in taste as they were marinated with sweet sauce.
Mango and matcha ice cream mochi were sweet and smooth, with the skin soft as well.
