With over 400 years of history, Joh Jos Christoffel Erben has mastered the art of growing bare-root Riesling vines with some of which are over 100 years old since the 90s.
Its Ürziger Würzgarten vineyard is the only one in Mosel that has a combination of volcanic soil and red sandstone soil covered by red slate, creating a unique terroir for its wines. Their bestselling Joh Jos Christoffel Erben Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Kabinett 2020 is a decent riesling that extrudes sweet juicy ripe pear aromas with a low acidity finish, which makes it better to enjoy on its own rather than pairing with dishes.
