after a busy day working for the Children's Development Carnival @ Cyberport, my whole family went here for a dinner.we used to really love this place because the atmosphere is really good, and the food's not bad.however, in recent years, it had sometimes disappointed us. for this dinner, it's not as good as we've always expected as well.there are dinner sets available as usual, but we aren't really interested in the food from the spring's dinner set.we ended up ordering spare ribs, amaranth in

we ended up ordering spare ribs, amaranth in fish broth, crab roe and crab meat fried rice, sauteed beef fillet with leek, and fried prawns with lemon grass.
this is aromatic. it smells really good, and it's very appetizing too. the meat's soft and tender. it's one of our favorites of the night.
this is my another favorite dish. the fish broth is flavorsome, and i liked that there are really fish on it. there were some mushrooms in it too. the veggie tasted fresh.
this fried rice is pretty good too. it's very flavorsome, and there's plenty of crab roe.
the beef is very tender and flavorful, and the cherry tomatoes are sweet. however the taste of the leek is not strong and aromatic enough at all. the leek was not fried long enough to bring out the aromatic flavor of it. i felt a bit disappointed by that.
the prawns were okay. i think the taste of lemon grass was not really being brought out in the dish, it's not very strong.lastly we had some desserts. i ate glutinous rice balls with peanuts and coconut flakes
it's pretty okay. but the glutinous rice balls were always stuck together when being put together like that, and i prefer to have those peanuts and coconut flakes poured on top of those rice balls instead of separating them like that because i think that will be easier to mix them.the dinner was not bad, but we had a higher expectation of it and we do hope it will improve.
