I came here with my friend tonight after reading the reviews on openrice. it's somewhat hidden in a small street. there are a few other korean restaurants and grocery stores there. a guy came to give us the menu, a pen, and a piece of paper. he can speak a little cantonese and told us to write down what number we want on the piece of paper. their food selection is limited. we ended up ordering the 炸醬麵and the 烤牛肉飯. first, he brought us 3 side dishes. they tasted fine. i just wish there were more.

I came here with my friend tonight after reading the reviews on openrice. it's somewhat hidden in a small street. there are a few other korean restaurants and grocery stores there. a guy came to give us the menu, a pen, and a piece of paper. he can speak a little cantonese and told us to write down what number we want on the piece of paper. their food selection is limited. we ended up ordering the 炸醬麵and the 烤牛肉飯. first, he brought us 3 side dishes. they tasted fine. i just wish there were more. the table next to us ordered a lot of food. some of which included the chap chae 炒粉絲, bul go ki 烤牛肉, dumplings 餃子, and so on. i thought the chap chae is pretty small and not worth $50. i probably can make it at home myself. anyhow, the 炸醬麵and the 烤牛肉飯tasted okay. it's somewhat forgettable. korean food is much better and affordable in the US. I have yet to find a korean restaurant in hk that i truly love. even though the food wasn't that great, the service was decent. he kept refilling my water and also brought us more kimchi and radishes. when it was time to pay, i thought we would get a check, but a lady just told us the amount we need to pay. they didn't even ask for tip. that's just weird. maybe we should've given them the tip on the table? i wonder if that's how it works in korea.
