Colleagues end-of-year gathering and we were here for the all you can eat+ drink hotpot. We had the two hour hotpot buffet and it’s a highly popular place, so make sure to do a reservation; be there on time and finish on time. There was a young crowd celebrating birthday that night and the restaurant played birthday songs on stereo! Very good vibe and it made us feel like seventeen again haha. This sweet rice ball is individually packaged and you can boil it in the hotpot soup, interesting and not easy to melt, but I’d prefer it as a dessert. Two fillings available: black sesame and peanut.
The cooked food was decent: deep fried snacks were hot and crispy, and I like their pickled radish, cucumbers and black fungus.
There’re also Taiwanese noodles and silky tofu hiding in the fridge, I took them too.
A huge variety of meatballs and fish balls, and tofu puffs/ skewers. The balls I liked the most were: salty egg yolk shrimp paste balls; and this puffy bag below, it’s filled with a whole shrimp and some urchin sauce (instead of the commonly found rice cakes)!
Don’t forget to try their desserts, they have handmade crème brûlée and waffles. There were also desserts in cups, ice lollies and ice cream cups in the fridge.
There was also a good selection of vegetables and mushrooms, although I didn’t take a picture.
Drinks included beer on taps, juices, teas (iced/ hot) and soft drinks. A surprise to find soy milk; 1664 beer, and Fanta grape flavour.
Save some room for the final sweet treat cos everyone has one cup of Movenpick after you check the bill.
