I really feel sorry for the standard of the buffet of Regal HK Hotel, it is the worst buffet that I and my friends have ever encountered. We have expected something better under the name of the "Regal" group of hotels.The quality of the food was sub-standard, few choices, cheap stuffs, worst of all the food were not fresh. No wonder there were a couple of food poisoning cases associated with this hotel group. You will find something better even in a non-hotel buffet restaurant with much cheap
The quality of the food was sub-standard, few choices, cheap stuffs, worst of all the food were not fresh. No wonder there were a couple of food poisoning cases associated with this hotel group. You will find something better even in a non-hotel buffet restaurant with much cheaper price than here. You do not find any "heart" in choosing, preparing or presentation of the food, the seafood are unfresh with very few choices, salad were dry and almost all are from canned food, hot dishes taste awfully, dessert was not presentable at all - the best choice among all was the Dreyers Ice Cream so you can imagine the overall standard and quality. But they are charging HK$298 (so HK$330 if including 10% service charge) for Monday to Thursday and more expensive for Fridays and weekend. My friend and I went there last night to give a try just because that we have a 40% off coupon. We paid HK$420 in the end, so each HK$210, but we believe what was worth for the meal was not more than HK$100. This will definitely become our blacklisted restaurant.
I believe you can even get more value for money by having a fishball noodle in a "HK tea restaurant".
It's just a waste of money and appetite to have dinner buffet here and there is no value for money at all.
I would rather pay more and have the buffet at Grand Hyatt (which is expensive in my budget) or have all the trouble to travel half day to and from Novotel in Tung Chung but you will at least get value for your money.
