I recently visited a new Japanese ramen restaurant called "Mengokoro Kunimoto" in Wan Chai. The restaurant has a seating capacity of 21 people. However, since it's a new establishment, the service was average.I ordered the "Shio Ramen" for HKD 88 and added the "Tokyo Special" for an additional HKD 38, which includes two pieces of char siu, seaweed, and a seasoned boiled egg. I ordered the "Shio Ramen" for HKD 88 and added the "Tokyo Special" for an additional HKD 38, which includes two pieces of char siu, seaweed, and a seasoned boiled egg. This means that without adding the "Tokyo Special," my ramen would only come with noodles, bamboo shoots, seaweed, and two pieces of chicken.
Unfortunately, the overall flavor of the food was too salty for my taste. The char siu and chicken also seemed overcooked.
When I had the first sip of the soup, I felt that the taste was rich and flavorful. However, with the second sip, I found it too salty and couldn't finish it. The restaurant only accepts cash or credit card payments.
I arrived at the restaurant at 12:30 pm without a reservation and had to wait for approximately 15 minutes before being seated. Overall, the food was not to my liking, but this might be a personal preference. If you are in Wan Chai and looking for a new ramen place to try, you may give this restaurant a chance.
