WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!Today's lunch was definitely the worst lunch I've ever had - not only because of substandard food quality but also terrible serice and worst management I've ever experienced! Waited for 40 minutes for a table and then waited for another 10 minutes before someone finally came to take our order. Not that we didn't get the waiters' attention but simply they were just too busy or that they had too few of them to serve that many tables. The food finally came - the Singaporea
Today's lunch was definitely the worst lunch I've ever had - not only because of substandard food quality but also terrible serice and worst management I've ever experienced!
Waited for 40 minutes for a table and then waited for another 10 minutes before someone finally came to take our order. Not that we didn't get the waiters' attention but simply they were just too busy or that they had too few of them to serve that many tables.
The food finally came - the Singaporean Spicy Noodles ($73 + 10%) came sweet rather than spicy and the Shrimp Wrapped in Tofu Skin ($28 + 10%) came cold. The other food we order was okay but definitely not as good as before. Food quality and taste definitely have worsen since my last visit about 2 months ago.
During our meal, no waiter came to refill our tea ($3 per person + 10%). We finally saw the waiter carrying the large tea pot walking around and we called for him. He acknowledged our request but didn't come over to refill our tea. Then another table also asked for tea refill and the waitress near that table walked over to the guy and grab the tea pot and refill the tea for that table. At the end, we didn't get our tea refill.
Then we decided not waiting for the tea and ask for the bill instead (2:05pm). The bill came and we paid by credit card. Then the restaurant manager (in black suit with grey hair) came with the credit card receipt and started a conversation commenting that one of our friends didn't show up. I replied in a friendly manner saying that "Yes, he couldn't get out from his meeting". Then the manager said "I wish he could make it next time cause he had blocked one of our seats causing us not being able to sell more". Then I signed the bill and replied:
1. We waited for 40 minutes and get seated at 1:30pm when people were already started to leave. So I don't think we have blocked your table;
2. We did pay for the tea ($3 + 10%) for my friend who didn't show up;
3. We did also order enough food for covering the missing guest.
Then the manager replied "We are here to make money and we hope you won't block our seat next time". Then I replied "If you don't want to serve food to the general public, you shouldn't be in business here in the first place. And don't worry. I won't be coming back. I will also make sure that I will tell all my friends not to come as well".
Then I walked back to my office, open an account with OpenRice, and wrote my experience here.
I definitely will send email to tell all my friends and office not to go to this restaurant - not only because of substandard food quality but also terrible serice and worst management I've ever experienced!
