I came to Sushi Hiro with high expectations, having agreed to go to a farewell lunch organized by Japanese friends. Upon arriving, I was ushered to a row of four compact tables. Since there were 12 of us, we sat like sardines while we scribbled on the order form. We could choose 16 pieces, so I chose the following:Chu Toro x2Tuna x2Striped Jack x2Salmon x2Horse Mackeral x2Mackeral x2Prawn x2Sweet Shrimp x2 After a short wait time, I was given some appetizers: steamed egg in a cup; bean curd

After a short wait time, I was given some appetizers: steamed egg in a cup; bean curd dish with vegetables and ox tongue with carrotts and radish. All of which was yummy!
I was then the first to receive my set
I was most eager to try the Chu Toro and Striped Jack
All the sushi that I ate was fresh and well prepared - the rice did not separate from the fish when dipped into soya sauce. My favorite out of the bunch was the Striped Jack which tasted especially delicious because of the crushed ginger which was placed on the fish. I don't consider myself an expert on sushi, but my Japanese friends - the youngest being around 50 years old - all approved of their sushi sets as well, and commented on the good quality.
Miso soup was served after the set. The tofu balls in the soup looked like peppermint candies. To end the set lunch, each of us received a nice pudding and a choice of coffee or tea.
Overall, I'd reccommend trying the sushi here if you like fresh fish and aren't too price sensitive. The 16-piece set is quite filling and the service and environment was good when I went. This restaurant is probably not good for large groups of people because of the limited space and small tables. I also heard from my Japanese friends that it can get quite expensive at night, so it's better to try the lunch set.張貼
