Yomama was once my favourite Froyo place when frozen yogurt was still something Hong Kongers went crazy with (if you remember, it was when bubble tea was starting to gain popularity too). The wave did not stand long enough though. Soon people started to forget about it, and they also found out froyo was not as healthy as they thought. Afterall, it's still sugar-containing and it is not THAT much better than the evil ice cream (which I don't really mind having occasionally, just with some regular workouts).

After years I suddenly had this little crave for froyo and I decided to give myself a little treat after a tiring day of work. I came back to Yomama and tried out its seasonal special - Grapefruit froyo.

There was a default set of froyo and toppings - grapefruit froyo with green tea mochi and some crisp. It's not a WOW thing afterall, but the combination did make much sense to me and it is perfect for a hot summer day like this. I loved Yomama's mochi for its texture and the slight bitterness from the green tea flavour.

Yomama did not disappoint me. Perhaps I will come back some time to lighten my day again. We don't need perfectly healthy food - sometimes we just need dessert with less guilt.
