Was thinking I should have a good lunch even i was alone. I would not mind to pay a little bit more for delicious food and comfortable place. And I wanted to have dan dan noodles. Crystal Jade was a natural choice while I was nearby. It was a very very late lunch, 3:30pm. Not much guests. The staff could definitely be more attentive. It was a very very late lunch, 3:30pm. Not much guests. The staff could definitely be more attentive. However when I called out to order, I didn’t get any response when the waitress was just laying the table next to me. I called again, she simply hold out her hand to hush me without looking at me. Is that courtesy that she should show to a customer?
Anyway, I ordered the dan dan noodle as planned and added xiao long bao. The noodle’s texture was ok, medium, not too soft and or not too hard. The soup was too sour though. The sourness was strong enough to cover the taste of the peanut paste. On the other hand the xiao long bao was good. Thin skin with a mouthful of juice.
But I would not give a high recommendation considering the price and the service. A lot could be improved. And Crystal Jade could actually consider offering tea set to attract more customers.
