This is our second visit to RBTea and the food has not been a disappointment (yay!). We simply love the waffles, this time we went for a fruity choice of mango with cream and ice-cream. The mango bits are frozen, so they taste like mango ice bits, refreshing and crunchy. Pleasant surprise as er have expectes the mango to be the same as any other places, soft and original. Then we ordered the broccoli and sausage pizza which is relatively okay. Not as good as the other food choices but not a disappointment either. Just that it pales in comparison. One good thing about their pizza will be the fact that the crust is very thin and crispy, and the pizza is not too big! good enough as a shared dish for the middle of the dining table.
The baked mushroom and bacon fuscilli with cream cheese is very yummy.. and it has a slice or two of baked potatoes at the bottom, which we didnt realize till we approached the bottom of thr dish bowl. The fuscilli is cooked just right, springy texture and not hard nor soft. If you want something warm, creamy but not too thick to kill your appetite halfway through, you may want to try this dish.
The minus points on our 2nd visit comes from the service standard. We waited very very long for our waffles when other tables with customers coming later than us already relished theirs or had theirtables filled with yummy looking waffles. wr were already displeased with the wait, to top it off, when we called a waiter to assist us, he came to our table and started clearing it when we obviously had hardly touched some of them (as we were waiting to get our waffles before digging in). His oblivion is exasperating when we were already an unhappy group impatient for our waffles.
Other than this aspect of disappointment, the food is great and enough to soothe an angry customer once served. Still willing to recommend this place to waffle and pancake lovers. And we sure wont mind a 3rd visit!!!
