While living in NT and claiming that I am so fond of food, I have absolutely no clue about what's good in Yuen Long. Shame on me lol On a saturday I went to visit my bro Alan in Yuen Long and he brought me to this famous place for Taiwanese Braised Beef Noodles. Despite how meaty the soup and all tasted, it was not greasy at all. So happy to to have found such decent Taiwanese Braised Beef Noodles in HK!
For the stir noodles with pork knuckle, I felt that the stewed meat sauce was too little for stiring, so the noodles were fairly bland and dry. Knuckle pieces were nicely marinated, of which the skin and the tendon inside were collagenous. They were the best part about this bowl of noodles.
For snacks, we also ordered a Sichuan Style Spicy Beef Strip for sharing. The beef strip was quite thinly sliced, marinated in soy and topped with some of that chili oil. Not bad though I'd prefer it spicier.In general I would say pleaseeeee just stick with the original and traditional dish, which is the Taiwanese Braised Beef Noodles.
