It was a Tuesday around 20:00 and I got food to take away. They do not have an English menu, but the lady who took my order speaks English very well. She helped me pick out what I was wanting.I ended up getting a pork, beef, and chicken satay skewer with rice and sauce. I also ordered a side of steamed cabbage.I arrived home around 30 minutes later and my food was still warm. So I ate it without heating it up. Combination satay skewer with rice: The satay sauce itself was phenomenal. I asked for it hot and just a warning, it will be hot! Loved how spicy it was. When you first taste it, you get an explosion of peanut flavor with a creamy texture, and then the heat will start to creep up until it really hits you! Had my face sweating but I was loving it. Just the perfect amount of pain to help get me addicted. The pork skewer was by far the best. The chicken was a little dry and the beef was too tough and chewy for my liking. So if I was to go back I would just order the pork (and test the lamb). The rice was such a nice addition to the satay sauce! Very happy with the amount of sauce they give you too!
Steamed cabbage: It was basic cabbage, but when paired with the rice and satay sauce is a perfect palate cleanser. Just wish it wasn’t $30 as I felt this price was a little high. You do get a lot though. Enough for two people, but just unfortunate if you’re by yourself like I was!
Very friendly staff, and delicious food, worth noting I did find a few hairs in my food and I know that will bother a lot of people.
