As someone who lives in the neighbourhood, I’ve been a huge fan of Picnic Eatery for a long time. However I just arrived with the disappointment that the whole menu has changed. We really loved the previous owner along with the staff because they were always so nice and friendly which made eating here feel like home. Though the staff now are still nice, all the previous menu items I would order on a regular basis have gone. Now instead of a light and healthy meal it’s more like a full on starter
Now instead of a light and healthy meal it’s more like a full on starter, main and dessert type of place. The Chicken Shish Salad, grilled whole chicken, and wraps are all gone. Now it’s a lot of meat, steak, and huge mains that are more costly and may taste great, but it’s not what the neighbours can eat as a daily meal but more like once in a while.
On Sundays they also had an all day brunch menu which is also gone. Hope they can consider bringing back the old menus which is what made this place special and keep the regular coming back!
