There have been some negative reviews for this restaurant, particularly the front of house, but based on the experience we had this evening I can’t really understand why. From the moment we stepped outside the lift to the moment we finished our meal, the front of house service was exceptional. From the moment we stepped outside the lift to the moment we finished our meal, the front of house service was exceptional. We would place this restaurant alongside many of its peers such as Amber and other multi-star restaurants. They don’t have a star yet but it’s definitely going to happen. If you love fine food & wine, these guys know what they are doing. They have a real passion for what they do and they are willing to engage in long conversations about every aspect of the ingredients and the wine they serve. If only every restaurant in Hong Kong, charging these types of high-end prices, had the same passion for what they do. We could discuss the incredible caviar starter, the beautiful red prawn dish. the incredible interpretation of lamb and beef. But at the end of the day if you’re paying HK$6000 for a meal for two I think you know what you should be expecting and you do get it here. The friendly service that comes with it as well as the professionalism is worth every dollar.

A special mention for the sommelier, who really loves what he does, which might sound like a statement of the obvious but we all know that many in Hong Kong don’t really deliver what they should deliver. This guy is all over what he does.
