We visited Ziafat on a groupon deal (never again, groupon!). We went through the building and up the elevator (not sketchy, despite other comments) and were greeted by a very friendly waitress. After being sat down we wre asked what kind of curry we wanted. We opted for one mutton and one chicken. The soup came out first and it was OK. The taste was fine, but it was pretty watery - as if it had been diluted for us groupon cheapos. The curries and rice both came out along with some flatbread.

The curries and rice both came out along with some flatbread. The rice was well cooked and had a nice cardamom flavour. The bread was a sad,dry semicircle to be shared between two. The curries were pathetically small. The chicken one was about two bites of meat in a small pool of curry sauce. The mutton was a little better, having, perhaps, four mouthfuls. AT this point I would like to say that the meat was perfectly cooked. I just wish there was more of it. The curry itself was not a slow cooked developed one. Rather it was a raw curry powder quick cook. It tasted pretty harsh, but just about acceptable.
The lemon-mint tea was fine.
The biggest issue was one of size. I understand that we had a groupon, but Ziafat, like so many, was looking to make quick money rather than a loyal customer base. The description of a meal worth 224 dollars is clearly a joke. If I had paid 224 dollars for the meal, I would be furious. They just cut the portion by 50% and pretended it was a great deal.
I will not be returning to Ziafat. Some of the food was OK, but what was presented was tiny and half-heartedly executed.
