Heard of great reviews from friends about Little Bao that the Baos are so delicious and irresistible. There's a long queue on Friday night and the waiting time was 1hr 30min. We ate something light at another restaurant and came back when they called us. The restaurant is very small and all seats are bar tables. The Bun is very soft and hot...it seems to be steamed first and then lightly pan fried to have the crispy texture. The pork belly meat is tender and juicy. Balance of meat and fat. With the purple onion, sesame dressing and ketchup, the Bao didn't seem to taste heavy.
Drunken Clams - $138
The clams were big, fresh and juicy. The broth is so delicious with heavy taste of Shaoxing Wine. Underneath the clams (in the middle) there was mashed potatoes and enoki. The mashed potatoes and enoki absorbed the Shaoxing Wine.
We were too full to try the ice-cream Baos. It's a nice hangout place to try the Baos if you don't mind the long queue. To avoid the queue, it's better to come at 6pm (when the restaurant is opened).
