found the restaurant on open rice. it had a few reviews and were all good, so decided to give it a try. had to book in advance as they're a private kitchen.got there a bit before noon and the restaurant of 8 tables was empty. we ended up dining till 2pm and had the whole place to ourselves ☺️amusé bouche provided was prosciutto on toast, a nice start. the bread basket contained 3 types: mini baguette, croissant and brown bread, served warm. both baguette and croissant was crunchy on the outside

i asked about the source of the beef for the tartare and the waitress replied France. didn't really taste the bone marrow that was mixed in. the soup of the day was bell peppers, served piping hot, tasted nice. smoked salmon was really not what I expected. salmon cooked sous vide, then when served, was infused with smoke. it wasn't smoky enough for me and too mild tasting.
main course both were a bit lackluster, nothing special.
for dessert, a choice of chocolate mousse or...we both liked the lemon tart with lemon sorbet.
cheese platter was fine, but the accompaniments had old grapes, which i asked the server to change.
overall, i loved that we had the restaurant to ourselves, decor was cozy and service was excellent, except at the end, when the server disappeared for a while. we found out later that she was making our coffee. so we had to wait a while to get the grapes changed. a couple of the tableware also wasn't very clean (one plate, when we arrived, contained a dust ball, the sugar tong contained some coffee stains).
total, with 3 extras and service charge came to a little over $900 for two.
