Haven Street has changed so much over the last a year or so. It becomes like a street full of great cafes and now Frites landed in CWB. The new one on Haven Street is nearly as big as the one on wellington street. The design remains the same as the original one in Central. The new one on Haven Street is nearly as big as the one on wellington street. The design remains the same as the original one in Central. The famous dog is still there without the newspaper in his mouth though. Although every frites looks more or less exactly the same, you just nevee feel bored of it. It's just CLASSIC and that's frites. If there is any new frites that don't like this, it's not frites. As simple as that.

We started the night with a cocktail the hoegarden Rose Girly girly drinks, sweet sweet sweet.

Food to start with was a Crab Tian.

It's a starter with crab meat mixed with celeriac remoulade, broad beans, pea shoots. The lemon dressing lightened the starter up, makes it very appetitizing. It is served with the beautiful cripsy toasts. The portion is actually bigger than we expected. Great good great value!

I can't remember if there is any time i came to frites without ordering their signature mussels. The mussels here is definitely one of the best in town. The Mariniere is my absolute favourite.

We ordered a 1/2 kg Mariniere to share. OHhhhhh the mussels is served in a different pot!! I kind of like the old one more, the old one looked more traditional belgian style. But nevermind, as long as it tastes good. And of course it tastes good. The mussels are very fresh, we didn't have any fishy one at all. I especially like using the empty shell to spoon out the sauce and eat it like soup! As i remember, i didn't come with bread before. And because i like the soup so much, i always order some extra bread to dip into the soup and eat it. This time it came with two slices of toast which is nice. But honestly i prefer fresh bread. It would be nice if we can choose to have fresh bread or toast.

For main, we ordered the Duck al orange. It's a grilled duck leg with orange emulsion sauce and mashed sweet potato

To be honest, at this stage we were like 80% full already.. When you looked at the beautiful food, you simply cannot stop eating. The duck leg was so tender, you can easily use a fork to tear it up. The skin.. oh gosh... i know it's fattening, but it tastes so nice, just can't stop myself eating it all. The orange sauce balanced the heaviness of the duck meat. It works like the lamb and mint suace combo. Amazing.

Another dish i highly recommed is their apple Tarte Tatin. It's an apple tarte, they flipped it upside down and serves with vanilla ice cream and cavaldos sauce

The whole tarte is full of slices of caramelized apple. The icecream melt on it. The sweetness from the icecream and sauce integrated with the slightly sourness from the apple to produce this heavenly great dessert. The portion is very decent, and it's good for 2 to share like it said on the menu.

We will definitely come back here again for food and beer. Next time, we will make it earlier to catch their 3-7pm happy hour time when you can get 50% on all draft beer and selected wine and other alcoholic drinks.

題外話/補充資料： They have express lunch and dinner too, extremely great value
