I visited this restaurant several times before with my boyfriend and always enjoyed the food, in particular the sesame chicken with cucumbers and thin, chewy flat noodles. Finally, I had the opportunity to book a table with ten friends and I was very excited to order the lamb dishes. One was a roasted lamb wrapped in ltus leaf and roasted until it was tender and falling off the bone (捆草牛骨). It was dipped in a chili, soy and vinegar sauce. the lamb was succulent and juicy.
The second lamb dish, also roasted (or fried?) with the bone intact, was covered in a mound of garlic and spices. It reminded me of various dry fried dishes. The pieces were extremely crispy on the outside and meltingly tender on the inside. It may have been even more delicious than the first dish but I couldn't decide for sure even after sampling the two dishes over and over.
Our meal included two vegetable dishes, sweet and sour prawns, xiao long bao, sesame chicken noodles, mushroom noodles, 'grease' noodles, fried rice, beef shank, and two desserts. The average cost came out to $146 per head.
Almost everything on the menu is delicious but I highly recommend inviting a group of friends to dine with you so that you can eat the feast sized lamb bone platters.
