Wan Kwai Chuen, aka Spicy Jordan, is one of the oldest Sichuan restaurants in Jordan. Reminds me of the days when I studied Japanese nearby because I went there for lunch with my classmates several times. Back then they seemed to sell only mixian and now they're providing Sichuan cuisine as well.We ordered a set menu for 2 to share. For the veggies, oil / soy sauce free options are available. We picked Chinese chives and dipped the mala sauce to eat.
Bean sprouts and century egg were both topped with spring onions, sesame and soy sauce. Big portions.
Sichuan beef consisted of tenderized beef, potato noodles, beancurd skin, beancurd puff and bean sprouts. Just like an XL bowl of mixian with extra toppings. Exciting tingling spiciness. We skipped the starch to save room for beer.
Overall fair prices, good air-conditioning, satisfying spiciness. Most of all, we were able to enjoy our meal slowly compared to other fast food Sichuan restaurants.
