My colleague and I, who worked nearby, saw this new restaurant started to operate today. Therefore, we decided to give it a try for lunch. Fitting out works in this restaurant were just completed, so the outlook is good. This restaurant can be divided into two area, the indoor area with some relaxing sofa and open area. Fitting out works in this restaurant were just completed, so the outlook is good. This restaurant can be divided into two area, the indoor area with some relaxing sofa and open area. After arriving the restaurant at about 11:55, we decided to sit in the indoor sofa area. We placed our orders, vegetable, spring roll, satay, pineapple seafood fried rice and pad thai at about 12:05.
While we were waiting for the food, we requested for cold water. it was not until 5 minutes after our request, a tall young waitress came over with the cups of water. The waitress was so careless that she overturned a cup of water to my colleague back. It seems to me that the waitress was not well trained because we observed her hit other staff/customer a couples of time during our meal.
At about 12:15, the spring roll and satay was served, they are hot and delicious. However, after finished the appetizers, we keep waiting and waiting until 12:40, we saw that other customer who arrive 10/15 mins later than us was enjoying their food. So we, asked the staff, but they just said they would need a few minutes more for preparing the food. I saw they checked the order in their counter's computer, it seems that they missed our orders but no single word of apologies were received. About 5 mins after, the vegetable, pineapple seafood fried rice and pad thai arrived. The taste are fair, but the size is not big.
My overall comment is the atmosphere is quite good in this restaurant. It is a relaxing location for a tea break/after work drinks. However, the services is completely below standard for a restaurant with lunch dish price exceed $100 hk dollars in average. The food is fair, but you may need to expect to wait longer and expect for some additional waiting time
