Having dined at Joia for dinner earlier this year I was underwhelmed by the food, and the price seemed high. I decided to give the restaurant another try, however the 2nd visit was far worse. Close to USD150 for a mediocre 2 person set lunch with a couple of drinks, and the worst service I had experienced for a long time. Close to USD150 for a mediocre 2 person set lunch with a couple of drinks, and the worst service I had experienced for a long time. The only good thing about this visit was the salad buffet as at least that was under our control. The highlight of this lunch was raising our complaint about the constant mistakes and poor quality of service to the manager who proceeded to berate us for having the audacity to actually voice our opinion.
There won’t be a 3rd visit to Joia from me. There are many dining options at the same location where 2 people can pay half the amount and not get shouted at for not accepting bad service.
