Fancy and Healthy Korean Vegetarian Lunch

My friend and I were craving for some Korean food, and this newly opened vegetarian restaurant — “Soil to Soul” — in K11 Musea just came in time for us to try, as well as satisfy our craving.K11 Musea is a maze, especially once you are above 5/F, you need to find a right lift to get you to 7/F, and then you need to spend some time to find the restaurant. Nevertheless, Soil to Soul has a nice environment decorated with pebbles, bamboos, and an indoor tiny waterfall which creates a nice river ASMR

 We ordered the HKD$288 set, so that we got to try everything on the menu with main, mushroom and tofu. And it was a great choice.

 The daily soup was a creamy, delicious pumpkin soup. The salad was really fresh. But what caught our attention was the yellow piece of turmeric “rice sushi”, very refreshing and delightful!

 I could never have imagined that a simple piece of tofu and zucchini can taste so wonderful with mixed veggies! The carrots added a bit of freshness and sweetness to the mix. Yum yum!

 I always have a love and hate relationship with Korean spicy sauce, which tends to be on the really hot and spicy side. But this one is just right to the point which added fantastic flavour to the juicy and meaty mushroom.

 The deep fried tofu cubes were absolutely gorgeous! The crunchy skin was not too thick, wrapping silky tofu inside. The black bean sauce was amazing! Again, it gave flavour and a bit of hotness to the tofu, yet not overly spicy nor salty.

 This tofu dish was comparatively more on the refreshing side with the Jang Ajji salsa, which allowed you to enjoy the taste of soy milk and silky texture of the Korean Soft Tofu to the max.

 This is no ordinary BiBimBap! Again, neither spicy nor salty, yet nicely and strongly flavored with fresh veggies like mushroom and the greens on top. We were recommended to eat it with the broth in case we found this tasted too strong. Adding the broth to the rice gave a “new dish” as yummy congee.

There was nothing we didn’t like about this noodle soup, the seaweed, noodles, mushroom and veggies, everything was so fresh and enjoyable really! Go try it yourself!

 The herbal tea was a beetroot tea, which tasted quite funny, yet went well with the desserts. The tiny piece of nut cake (right) and pear jelly (left) marked a perfect end to an unexpectedly filling, delicious and healthy lunch. Would definitely love to come back again when there is a new menu.
