This little dai pai dong is pretty famous in Tai Hang. Popular for two items: ometette with char siu and rice or omelette with shrimp and rice. Pretty much everyone orders that. They sell out fast and close up shop around 2 pm.Boyfriend and I decided to eat here as every time we come by, everything is sold out. But this time we came early!They have a menu. It's on the wall. Omelette with Prawn and Rice ($60). Yes, this was $60! It wasn't very big and I could finish it. Usually dai pai dongs, I can't finish my plate as it is too big. But I could finish this. The eggs were not over cooked. The shrimp were huge, firm and fresh. It came with a container of sweet soy sauce.
Omelette with Char Siu and Rice ($48). I liked this more than the prawn. Or maybe I just like char siu. The char siu was pretty good and not dry. The eggs were not over cooked. Portion size was not big as well.
For me, I think it was pretty good. But for those people who travel purposely for this place, I don't think it's truely worth it. I live close to the area and would probably see myself revisting again. But not worth it if you don't live near by. It's not so amazing you must come as there are probably better places out there serving the same thing.
