There are quite a few of 源記燒味粉麵茶餐廳 in TST. Open until quite late into the wee hours, the shop(s) get into its prime during the supper hours past 2am, when the only choice in TST near Cameron road becomes a duel become McDonalds and here..I think I must have had suppers here more than 5-6 times, most at this location but sometimes at the other shops barely 100m away. I think I must have had suppers here more than 5-6 times, most at this location but sometimes at the other shops barely 100m away. LOOK - they all serve similar quality food.
Interesting that people give here so much negative reviews, as the quality of the food such as sandwiches and noodles and even the milk tea isn't half-bad - I would consider them simply, hygienic and yet above the normal average Cha Chaan Ting.
Eg.
1) Egg sandwiches - eggs have egg taste.
2) Wonton noodles - wontons are cooked well, noodles are cooked al dente. Soup isn't ladened with MSG either, despite being a bit boring and like chicken stock.
3) Beef Brisket or Tendon Noodle - Soft, not overly chewy. I would happily eat these during late hours.
I'll actually give it a high '3' to low '4'.
