Visited the Delhi Club before Xmas, had not been during the pandemic and my friend and I felt like Indian in Chungking as we had no female companions. As usual the service here is rude, but worth it for the food. We ordered a mixed grill platter which had fish, lamb and chicken. We ordered a mixed grill platter which had fish, lamb and chicken. All meats are well seasoned and this is the most expensive dish at $110 as all are cooked in the tandoori oven. For the curries we ordered butter chicken and chicken vindaloo. Both curries are as they should be and are rich and creamy. The vindaloo is spicy 🌶 when you wait for the after burn 🔥 (lag effect). These curries were accompanied by a garlic naan and Aloo Paratha (which has potato inside) both at $23 a piece is a bargain. The garlic bread is puffy and crispy with lots of garlic. In addition, we ordered a saffron rice to scoop up the left over sauces and this was all washed down with mango lassi.
The whole bill was $399 which is a bargain. The bonus coming here is a walk down the dodgy back staircase to burn some calories as waiting for lift going down is way too long.
