I saw an ad for brunch at Alibi and after reading the positive reviews on Openrice, decided to give this place a try. The price is $358 plus 10 percent service per adult which seemed very reasonable. However, the food choices was really limited. On the menu and as described by previous reviews, there should be 3 cheeses, but Brie was not available and there was only manchego and Gorgonzola. For the cold appetizers, there was a salad, a tomato and mozzarella salad, egg tortilla and potato and octopus salad. The octopus in the octopus salad was taken very quickly and the hotel didn't bother to top up the octopus until at least one hour later. Also the octopus served was only the end pieces and very tough.
For seafood, there was oysters and mussels and lobster bisque but there was a long line.
For hot food, there was no lobster claws as mentioned in previously posts. That has been replaced by shrimps. There was also no peppers. The suckling pig, anchovies and paella were still available but they were nothing to write home about and again kitchen took a long time to replar.
For the mains, we had the steak. The steak was sous vide and lacked any flavor.
For dessert, the churros were cold....
I think I expected a lot reading the positive reviews and looking at the photos of the previous posts but I think they were invited bloggers and got much better food than normal guests. Or the quality has realy gone down in the last two weeks. I was disappointed by the quality of food.
