一樂是一間屬於家族式經營的食店,早於1950年開業, 於2011年搬往現址中環士丹利街經營, 身兼廚師兼店東以家族秘方醃製燒鵝,此店用5公斤重的東莞黑草鵝, 每日新鮮運抵餐廳,肥瘦剛好, 用八角沙薑五香粉等醃好後, 就會入風乾櫃風乾一晚, 然後放入太空爈燒烤, 個爐疷放左火山石, 這樣可以讓火力更均衡,燒出的鵝皮脆肉嫩,有油香但不肥膩, 鹹香剛好。If you are looking for authentic Roast goose in Hong Kong, then Yat lok will definitely fit your bill. It was much cheaper and taste better than the nearby Yung Kee though Yung Kee was famous for their roast goose. If you are looking for authentic Roast goose in Hong Kong, then Yat lok will definitely fit your bill. It was much cheaper and taste better than the nearby Yung Kee though Yung Kee was famous for their roast goose. I rather suggest you to come here.

I come by here last night after some afternoon tea set just across the street. Outside the entrance, posted some advertisment by magazine from the past and price list of food. I have always heard that their roast goose leg rice noodle is very famous and it cost $80 for a bowl.

Inside the environment is basic and space is limited. So, you maybe sharing your table with others. Some notices I saw on the board that will be charging you $3 for a glass of water and $15 for tea, so weird !?

I want to try the roast goose leg rice noodle so I ordered it. Extra $8 for a glass of lemon tea or milk tea which paired with the noodle. My roast goose leg noodle seems to be delicious, the roast bronze skin goose lay on the noodle soup was definitely enticing. The crispy skin cushioned by a layer of super melty fat while underneath was tender and succulent. A bite of the goose meat juice with fatty skin run into my throat just totally satisfied my thirst for the roast goose.

After some bite for my goose, I began to try the underneath noodle with soup. Rice noodle was al dente and pair with the soup is just right. Soup base is not salty nor taste too heavy so it's definitely MSG free I guess. With some chopped scallion spread over it make the soup more flavourful.

Come here someday if you are craving for juicy meaty yet crispy bronze skin roast goose, it definitely will not let you down with it's fair enough price and food quality. But don't fancy anything other than that , since it's just a family run restaurant with basic environment and service.
