Ole is always my go-to place when I’m craving for Spanish food. It’s one of the oldest Spanish restaurants in town and is very authentic. It’s always nice to come with a big group of friends as their tapas are so delicious to share. Their garlic shrimp is a must order and comes with an attractive sizzling sound, served piping hot. The clams were fresh without any sand and the mushrooms were also flavourful. We also tried the cod fish in pepper sauce, the sauce was nice but the cod fish was scarce. Their soup with chicken, beef and Iberico ham was very salty.
.
For mains, we had their signature suckling pig, which is very juicy and tender. I couldn’t find a better one anywhere else. Spanish food is not complete without paella and we had their seafood paella, which was generally portioned, enough for four people with lots of seafood on top. Lastly we had their churros with hot chocolate to end the feast.
.
Though not every dish was impressive, most were still very good. I also love the atmosphere and design here, which feels like old European style.
