Finally managed to try out Akoya and WOW was I impressed with the food! 🍶🇯🇵 Pic 1️⃣: Udon with Chicken Stock Carbonara Sauce / 雞湯卡邦尼拌烏冬 - $88 hkd 🐥 — Super creamy dish, the udon held onto the sauce perfectly and was cooked to a perfect chewy texture. — Really well seasoned and had a nice crunch to it too. The egg yolk tare complemented it well.

— Grilled and seasoned to perfection. The ox tongue was so tender, juicy and full of flavour.

— Nice and simple, great skewers to start off with.
Pic 5️⃣: Assorted Vegetable Salad / 野菜沙律 - $78 hkd 🥗
— Honestly wasn’t expecting such a massive salad 😂 but this is definitely the dish if you’re looking for something light to clear your palate in between. Veggies were super fresh and crisp.
Pic 6️⃣: Grilled Rice Ball (Soy Sauce) / 燒飯團(醬油) - $48 hkd
— Perfectly grilled, giving it that crunchy exterior. There’s a good amount of soy sauce on this which gives it that deep roasted flavour when grilled.
Pic 7️⃣: Egg Pudding / 自家製雞蛋布甸 - $38 hkd 🍮
— Presentation can be improved but the pudding itself was pretty good. Texture was smooth and creamy, but the caramel sauce was bizarrely bitter 🤔
Pic 8️⃣: Soy Milk Pudding / 豆奶布甸 - $38 hkd
— A much lighter dessert option. The flavours are mild but you can still definitely taste the soy milk aroma. The sweetened black beans on top were unique and added an extra sweetness to it.
Pic 9️⃣: Sweet Potato with Honey Butter / 燒番薯配蜂蜜牛油 - $48 hkd 🍠
— The sweet potato on it’s own was already naturally so sweet and tasty, but I couldn’t resist the perfect combination of honey and butter which was just a match made in heaven.
Pic 🔟: Corn, Eggplant / 粟米、茄子 - $28 hkd (x2) 🌽🍆
— Corn was good, eggplant was a little soggy and could’ve done with an extra bit of grilling.
📍Ambiance: Lively environment, interior is nice, staff are friendly and attentive. Great for large groups too!
⭐️Would visit again?: Absolutely!!
