Recently, a number of tiny coffee shops have opened in the North Point area. I discovered this one as boyfriend and I were walking down this side street towards the mall as this is my usual short cut when I get off the tram. In bold lighted words it said "COFFEE". The place is very tiny. Run by two women, it also wasn't very busy like other coffee shops. Probably due to the location as it is in a side street that was mostly auto repair shops. The shop had a tiny barista area. There were a few side benches for seating.

Menu is in English only. There is no Chinese and no 10% service charge. They offer a good variety of coffee along with non coffee varieties. There is also a very small food section that is mostly good to compliment coffee. No silly all day breakfast here! Thank goodness!
Boyfriend had an Ice Mocha ($52). I noticed the barista actually whipped the cocoa powder with a matcha tea whisk to dissolve the cocoa powder in the coffee before pouring milk into it. That was nice as you don't get a mouthful of undissolved powder when you drink into it. It's more chocolatey.
I had the Latte ($45). Beautiful latte art. The coffee was aromatic with a nice nutty taste. Temperature was just right with a good ratio of milk to espresso.
We had some food. They have waffles ($58) with a choice of topping. I added $3 for Nutella and almond. They also offer a Combo set $92 which includes any drink under $40. Quite a good deal. The waffles are made to order so there is a bit of a wait. You get two pieces. Crispy with a nice soft center. Sprinkled with powder sugar, there was also a bit of whipped cream on the side along with a good dollop of Nutella. Wonderfully sweet and went well with the coffee.
We also shared a Caramel Flan Cake ($66). This was very good cake. The cake was moist and fluffy. On top was a layer of caramel flan that was smooth and sweet. It was drizzled with honey and there were bits of crunchy honeycomb scattered throughout. Excellent slice of cake.
A lovely small cafe run by two friendly women. The coffee was good. The food chosen to compliment it was thoughtful and well created. Definitely be back to this hidden little place.
