I visited my friend living at Tung Chung today. We enjoyed a delightful lunch at Mint and Basil, her favorite, at Seaview Crescent. This restaurant provides pan Asian cuisine. The set lunch menu provides plenty good value choices ranging from $88 to $108. Each set includes a soup/salad/appetiser, a main and tea/coffee. You may add a dessert.
The a la carte menu provides soup, salad, appetisers, heritage curry, grill and tandoor, seafood, vegetables, Indian and Malaysian bread specialties, rice, noodles, etc.
We picked one set lunch and several other signature dishes from the a la carte menu to share.
Banana samba fish is a famous and tasty Malaysian dish. The grilled whole fish is aromatic and full of flavour. The paste is mildly spicy and appetising. Recommended.
Lamb rogan josh is delicious. Prime cuts of mutton are simmered in ginger and fennel Kashmiri sauce. The mutton is tender and flavourful. It is perfect to eat with fresh garlic naan.
Murtabak, tender and spiced lamb sauteed and stuffed in pan-fried bread, is most delicious.
Singapore styled wok fried prawn noodles are nice.
For dessert, coconut ice cream and mango sticky rice with coconut cream are good choices.
Service is very good.
I'd like to encore next time.
