This is a place that was oddly strange. A cha chan teng that seemed to serve anything. There are two entrances to the place. This we learned after going in one entrance and seeing some people walking behind a wall and never to be seen again. It's also larger than expected as well.The walls are line with certificates from schools and events, thanking them for sponsoring them. It seemed they were very active in the community. The diners? The menu is in Chinese only. There is no English. There is no 10% service charge. You pay on your way out. They serve everything.
We shared a few items to snack on.
A soy sauce braised chicken leg ($21) looked dark in color but oddly didn't taste very salty. It was ok. The meat was not mushy and still firm.
A platter of deep fried items ($36) that included fish cake and wonton. These were very hot and crispy. Not as oily as expected. The fish cake was good though boyfriend liked the wontons more.
Cheung Fan with peanut sauce ($20) was really sad. Boyfriend said this was their signature item. The cheung fan ws still starchy tasting. The peanut sauce didn't help matters. It was just like eating starch.
The food was not that great. A few items were ok but not something I'd come back for.
