A burch on Saturday 12pm with good friends, it is not easy to find a brunch in HK with price below $500 but can enjoy free flow of house wine and sitting in front of the Victoria harbour view. We picked this restaurant as we positive comments from four of us. The brunch serves in semi-buffet type, price range was about $250-$550 depends on what main course we chose and if we go for free-flow house wine or champagne. Cheese platter area - Not too much choice but at least they have French cheese and English Cheddar which we think it is enough and fair based on the price range.
Bread area - only 3 to 4 types of bread to select, if they could add more bread type, this would be cool !
Salad selection area - over 6 types of veggie we could pick and lots of sauces we could mix our own salad, fantastic for a nice starter before wine and main course. Veggie was all fresh and clean
Seafood corner - they served lobster and oyster, fabulous! They were fresh and juicy, with seafood taste and smell. Chef would refill when it came to almost empty at seafood corner, service was satisfied.
Dessert area - not too much desserts we could select but for the basic Tiramisu, fruit tart, Movenpick ice cream, macaron, enough for brunch time as we don't have big stomach. The Tiramisu was the most stunning dish in dessert area, taste with soft cream and sponge in coffee taste. Yummy and encore twice already
Main course in beef cheek with mashed potato - Beef cheek taste super outstanding, so soft and nice, sauce came in hot and not too strong, didn't over taste to cover the beef. Portion was small but really enough for a semi-buffet brunch set. Great design and taste!
Main course in Lasagna bolognese - we expected this was a very common dish as we didn't know what to pick (as we share), but, it made us so appreciated. First of all, lasagna was hot and tomato sauce was made in fresh tomato. Secondly, ingredients in meat were so fruitful and smell perfect !
Main course in fish - Fish meat was soft and smooth, no harsh and taste a bit light & good for my friend (as she doesn't eat strong taste at all).
Overall environment was gorgeous, we reserved a month in advance so staff arranged a window seat for us. We could look at the harbour view, drinking wine, chat a lot & enjoying the nice food for 3 hours.
Staff service is fantastic and appreciated, always came to follow up if food was ok and always happy to fill in wine for us. Kind and friendly as well as 5 stars hotel! We will definitely come again!
