Canton Room is not a common name in fine dining or the name that you would think of when talking about Chinese food. But when talking about Char Siu Egg Rice 黯然銷魂飯 or simply char siu, many might think of them. So I am here to try out this Cantonese classic👍🏼招牌蜜汁叉燒 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘂 𝗦𝗶𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗦𝗮𝘂𝗰𝗲So you know this is the must order here without a doubt. If some say this is the best char siu in HK, I will not doubt🏆It was tender with nice chew. The char was here but could but more for my liking. The honey

香酥紙包骨 𝗣𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘀𝗼𝗽
This is a nostalgic dish to me. Not sure why but I do have vivid childhood memory of this dish. It was indeed onion pork chop but cooking in paper helped remain its moisture. It was okay but having the chance of eating it again meant a lot to me🥺
釀焗響螺 𝗕𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱
This was the first time seeing this on menu so I really wanted to try👀 It was very different from the crab counterpart. The conch was diced with some other vegetable and the sauce was Portuguese one. It was not bad but personally would pick for the crab one! Btw, the plate specially designed for this dish was so gorgeous❤️
釀焗蟹蓋 𝗕𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗯 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘁
I love baked crab shell 🦀 a lot and I consider this as the staple food for Chinese restaurant. If they pass this dish, I would usually like it. And this one totally passed the test. It was doing it in a very classic way. The mixing was simply crabmeat with little onion. No cream but just some cheese on top. You could expect mouthful of fresh crabmeat every bite😋
砵酒焗蠔 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗱 𝗢𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗲
Not a dish 🦪 that I often eat but I got to try this since many of the items were not available that night. That said, it was a happy surprise. I enjoy the crunchy batter a lot together with the sauce on it. The oyster was not bad too. Guess this dish will appear again soon in my bowl 🔥
荔茸香酥鴨 𝗗𝗲𝗲𝗽-𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗼
This was a flawlessly executed dish. The deep frying was so good as you could see the flake😍 The mashed taro was very smooth and flavourful while the duck was super juicy and tender. Everything was so point that I could not help eating piece after piece🔥
