Appetiser was smoked salmon wrapping a piece of asparagus, a refreshing start to the feast!
Then came the grilled fish! I must say that’s one of my favs because the skin side had a nice crusty sear, while the fillet was very juicy and smooth!
Next was a wholesome South Africa abalone! As it’s cooked with grained sea salt, it’s already quite savoury on its own and the greenish brown sauce next to it was too overwhelming imo.
The giant tiger prawn was another highlight! It’s succulent, fresh, crispy and flavour-packed, thanks to the sauce that’s extracted directly from its head!
Oh my god, the pan-seared foie gras took the mea to the next level! Who could resist the rich, buttery, delicate, creamy sensation of this French delicacy? The blueberry sauce, slightly caramelised peach and toasted brioche made a perfect complement to the scrumptious foie gras!
Finally, it’s the long-awaited wagyu beef!! (I feel like it’s almost obligatory for a legit Teppanyaki?) It’s extremely tender, juicy, and more importantly, had a distinct rich beefy aroma!
Soup and fried rice were alright. Last but not least, the yuzu sorbet was citrusy without being cloyingly sweet- what a perfect wrap to this meal!
