香港仍然係飲食天堂🇭🇰🥢👍🏼Kokuryu is a popular ramen shop in Wan Chai, there's always a short line at the door. Their signature Kokuryu ramen has a rich and creamy broth, if you find it too thick, you can get some clear broth from the bar to lighten it. The ramen is generously topped with thick slices of Japanese char siu, a melty soft-boiled egg, plenty of seaweed, bamboo shoots, and spring onions. I chose mild spicy, and you can see a hint of red sauce in the bowl. I recommend adding mild spice, as it adds more flavor without overpowering the natural pork bone broth.
As a big eater, I also tried a bowl of Japanese pearl rice with mentaiko (pollock roe). I sampled their side dishes too, like the spicy fungus, deep-fried chicken, and dumplings. If you don't have a big appetite, you can skip these side dishes🫠.
Most importantly, don't forget to follow their social media for a FREE deep-fried prawn. The restaurant environment is comfortable, the food quality is excellent, and definitely worth a try! 😋🍜
