At 9 o’clock, the place is lively but here are still seats available. Service can be better for a Black Sheep restaurant as we were seated at the other side with less staff, the service wasn’t that great and we had to wave people for a few minutes to order and pay the bill.

Hummus $68
No presentation points whatsoever. Just a sad puddle of olive oil on top of an even sadder pile of hummus.
First taste I get is garlic. Very strong and intense. Not a lot of tahini used as it’s not very velvety and I can barely taste chickpeas. They must have used a lot of water too as it’s very loose and not the usual thick and luscious hummus.
The portion is very generous for the price but taste is very lackluster. My least favorite hummus in Hong Kong.
Warm pita $38
Had to order the pita too for the hummus. But this was disappointing too.
Not only is it soggy and greasy when arrived but very heavy on the yeast and gets extremely spongy and hard when cooked down. Now I’m being quite harsh as I came from Francis where they had incredible hummus and flatbread but this was honestly really bad.
$38 gets you six small pieces of pita.

💬 Overall, maybe their mains and salads are better than their hummus and pita so I’ll come back to try those but I’m definitely not returning for these any time soon. There are way better hummus in HK. Considering this is a Black Sheep Restaurant, I’m quite disappointed. I recommend going to their cousin Maison Libanaise for delicious hummus that is quite pricey.
