I've been to this restaurant twice and I left this restaurant in awe both times! Personal interaction with the chef is just what is missing from average restaurants. Both chefs were very pleasant and talented! Although I ordered 3 seafood dishes, me and my partner's favorite was the shrimp because it was done so creatively - part of the shell was pressed into a crispy chip which was very fun to eat and so delicious, not to mention the actual shrimp was so juicy!Both our No.1 dishes were the Foie

Both our No.1 dishes were the Foie Gras. It is a must-try! So simple yet so addictive and the price isn't high at all for the amount that is given. It left both of us wanting to order another one!
Definitely also recommend the sweet potato and ice cream dessert - a personal favourite.

The waitress dropped half of the dish on the table, and she just picked it up and put it back without even apologizing at first. Summary: Prices and quality that I'd expect at a casual okonomiyaki place in Japan, right in the middle of Causeway Bay. You'll need to book way in advance and are limited to 2 hours to finish, but Kozy is delicious, affordable and open late every day (but Sunday). It is perfect for dinner, a late night snack, or anything in between. One of my favorite hang-outs in HK.This was my 3rd time here, though i'm not sure why it's taken so long to return given how good a time we have every time we come.

You'll need to book way in advance and are limited to 2 hours to finish, but Kozy is delicious, affordable and open late every day (but Sunday). It is perfect for dinner, a late night snack, or anything in between. One of my favorite hang-outs in HK.

This was my 3rd time here, though i'm not sure why it's taken so long to return given how good a time we have every time we come. Unlike most HK teppanyaki places, it's authentic, reasonably priced AND delicious. Sanka is phenomenal, but it also cost me over $1500 pp. Kozy is not that kind of place; it’s flavor and value over aesthetics and overpriced ingredients. In other words, it may not make the cover of Food and Wine, but you'll wake up tomorrow after a great meal with a lot more money in your wallet. Did i mention closes at an incredible 330 AM every day but Sunday? 

Located in Circle Plaza a few buildings down from Sogo, it's one of the countless Japanese food treasures hidden away in nondescript Causeway Bay buildings. The teppanyaki area takes up half the restaurant with about 10 seats right in front of the two chefs. Including the other tables, the restaurant seats about 25 in total, so make sure to book days in advance for peak hours - it's always packed. I remember once calling at 1AM and having to wait until 2...

My friend told me the two Teppanyaki chefs (both Japanese) are actually the owners of the place, which makes sense as they're a constant every time I've eaten there. They're pleasant if not friendly - didn't hear them say a word to anyone apart from the name of the dish they were presenting. I'm sure I've heard them speak English before, so don't think it's a language issue. Anyway, they are pros, and handle the grilling steadily and professionally (Cooking our prawns in this picture)

The menu below is supplemented by a specials board behind the chefs - the only change I've ever seen on this board is the shirako (cod milt), which was new this time. The menu offerings are a constant, which to me is a good thing - a place like this works by focusing on what they do best, and the chefs look like they could prepare the orders in their sleep.

Can we get a shout out for this drinks menu? 38$ draft beer and 40$ highballs? (get them to add less ice though) Those are Japan prices!

I did a horrific job remembering to take photos this time, but here's what we had:

Sliced Pork Grilled with Egg (the last piece of it) - this one is almost like an omelette with a thin slice of pork. Tasty not essential.

This is interesting - I've never seen okonomiyaki without cabbage! this is just flour, a ton of spring onions and pork slices. Much thinner, a bit denser, and i love that each bite is so full of stuff. Definitely try one of their okonomiyaki varieties if you visit.

We also had: Kimchi Pork (if you like kimchi, this is a must-have), Mixed Mushrooms in foil (the butter works), and some specials: an order of Oysters (2 for 88) and an order of Shrimp. Everything we had was grilled perfectly.

The shrimp are definitely worth ordering- giant tiger prawns with the heads separated and smashed into a prawn chip, while the body is grilled. It's a bargain at $98 for 2 (You can see them being cooked above)

Kozy is a no-brainer for any casual dinner or late-night snack; consistent, delicious and affordable. The 2 hour window is the only real problem because you'll want to spend hours here drinking and ordering extra dishes. The pricing and portion size are perfect - you'll be simultaneously amazed how much you get for the price, while still wishing there was more. The food is simple but wonderfully executed, and there is enough variety for everyone. For all the dishes, 2 highballs each, AND a bottle of sake, we paid $1041 for the 2 of us. It would have cost less than $500 without the sake (but including the highballs), which is mind-boggling, as stuffed, drunk and satisfied as we were. Now that's value. Try Kozy for the first time or the 10th time, but do it. You'll be happy you did.

一入餐廳,已經有鐵板香味,六點半入座,已經有一半入座。芝士蛋奄列($48),熱辣辣,芝士是流心的,奄列好香蛋味。鐵板蝦($98),賣相吸引,師傅好用心煎蝦頭,不單只反轉煎,連兩側也慢慢煎,難怪乎蝦鬚也脆卜卜,蝦肉又爽又鮮甜。燒牛脷($58),非常厚身,而且夠諗,又沒有牛的蘇味。關東煮的蘿蔔好入味,牛筋好入味。豬肉大阪燒($68),吃了第一口,以為自己在大阪,真的非常地道,無論是豬肉、醬汁、配菜都是恰到好處。真的超值

大廚係日本人 同場都有日本人食第一感覺係好正宗果然係好不錯~而且廚師好細心因為我坐bar 枱 我本身唔太好蔥廚師見我撥開左啲蔥黎食仲問我係咪唔要蔥🙈真係好細心!總結係嗌左:-枝豆-關東煮 蘿蔔(好好食),牛筋-蠔 (好食,冇sauce)-黑毛豬 (配菜薯餅好正😂)-野菜 -香蔥大阪燒 (對唔好蔥既我都覺得好食)-炒麵庵列 -蝦 (配菜蝦腦好脆好香口)-甜薯雪糕 (呢個配搭好好食)值得再食!坐bar枱都唔錯,唔會覺得好大煙味 (不過可能唔係坐正中間啦)

男神生日去食好日,日式鐵板燒我會揀這間,這不是我第一次來,水準依舊,但建議坐吧台是最好的, 廚師為日本人,感覺好有風味,每度菜在你前面即時煮上。而且我早有預備與餐廳制造驚喜,店員稱可在大板燒寫上名字,就像生日🎂一樣。溫馨提示:由於餐廳細小,食完衣服會有味!
